BIRTH
A newborn photographer is like the lightness of a feather, the softness of a comfort blanket, and the patience of a mom (ah! That works out perfectly—I’m a mom myself!!). These are beautiful moments to share with your family. Moments that your baby will set the pace for. He’ll be the one to let us know if he needs a break! But I’ll make sure to create a cozy little nest for him where sleep will carry him away.
As soon as possible! Please let me know your estimated due date so we can schedule a date for the photo shoot. And if the baby is in a real hurry to arrive, we’ll just adjust the date, of course!
Ideally, within the first 10 to 15 days of the baby’s life—that’s the best time! This is a period when the baby still sleeps a lot and is therefore easier to handle. The baby still remembers the fetal position, which makes it much easier to get the baby into curled-up positions.
For a newborn photo session, you have two options: if you’d like to capture memories of your baby’s very first days, I can come to the hospital to capture those precious moments—just give me a call as soon as your baby is born. But if you’d rather wait until you’re back home and have had a chance to rest (a little), we’ll do the session at your home. Or… we can do both!
Your little one will set the pace! We’ll choose the brightest room. Then, your child will let us know if they need a break for a bottle or a feeding, or a relaxing walk (three times around the living room table) ) in Dad's arms, or a hug from Mom…

This little guy has all the makings of a winner! And for good reason—we did his photo shoot the day after our wonderful team won the World Cup!
